Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Vectorizo (www.vectorizo.com) does with the information you give it. In short: a copy of the images you upload may be kept so we can check and improve conversion quality, an account stores only what it needs to let you log in, and the site uses no advertising or tracking cookies.
Images you convert
- When you convert an image, it is sent to our server, turned into an SVG and sent back to your browser. The working files of the conversion are deleted as soon as the request finishes.
- A copy of the uploaded image (not the SVG) may be kept on our server, with the time of the upload, the file name, your IP address and, if you are logged in, your account. The same image uploaded again is stored only once.
- We keep these copies only to look at how well Vectorizo converts real images and to improve it. They are seen only by the site's administrator, never published, sold or shared, and we remove them regularly. You can ask us to delete the images you uploaded at any time through the contact page.
- Please do not upload images you are not allowed to share with us.
- Very large images may be reduced in size inside your browser before they are uploaded, so less data leaves your device.
Free conversions
Without an account you can convert 5 images for free; with a free account, 50 new images a day. Converting the same image again with other settings does not count. To count conversions without an account we use a cookie (see below) and your IP address, stored with a fingerprint of each image you converted (not the image itself) and the time.
Your account
Creating an account is optional. If you create one, we store:
- your email address and the name you choose (the name may be left empty);
- your password, only as a one-way hash (scrypt) — we cannot read your password, and it is never stored in plain text;
- when the account was created and when you last logged in;
- how many images you converted each day, to apply the daily limit.
Feedback
If you send feedback, we store your message, your rating, the email address you choose to give (if any), the page you sent it from and your browser's user-agent string, so we can understand and answer it. If you are logged in, the message is linked to your account.
Cookies
Vectorizo sets two cookies, both needed for the service: a session cookie when you log in, which keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, and a visitor cookie (a random number) that counts your free conversions while you are not logged in, kept for up to a year. Neither can be read by scripts on the page or is shared with anyone. We do not use analytics, advertising or other third-party cookies or trackers.
Technical information
To protect the service from abuse, your IP address is used to limit how many requests can be made in a short time, and it is stored with your uploads and your free-conversion count as described above. Like any website, our hosting servers may record standard technical logs (such as IP address, time and requested page) for security and troubleshooting.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your information. It is shared only with the provider that hosts our servers, to run the service, or where the law requires it.
Your choices
- You can convert 5 images without an account.
- You can ask us to delete your account, the feedback linked to it and the images you uploaded at any time through the contact page.
Children
Vectorizo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
